So did he leave a message, or wwere you told in person and just forgot? If it was a message than you should have nothing to worry bout, they cant blame you for not being on duty cause they left a message. But if you were assigned duty and were suppose to know about it ahead of time, watch out buddy. Not sure what branch your in, Im a former marine, I actually seen two E-4's get demoted for this.
