A bunch of replies about better things in the price segment...I'm not saying there aren't, I'm just saying, what are some of the cars they are referring to?
Your talking the $20k to $25k range correct?
Yeah sure man, like I said, not saying they aren't there. I just want some education. I'm honestly interested in knowing.

Hell man in that range you can get everything from used Vettes, Trans Ams to used EVOs and STi's. Mazdaspead 3's/6's. New SI's(coupe or sedan) I got my 00 Vette convertable, 6 speed, with bolt ons for $18k

What year range car you talking about? If you want a Z by all means get a Z but be open minded before hand

I recently found out I could afford a 350z (03-04) after making payment on my car for a year now and raising my credit. It would come out to $75.00 more a month than what I'm paying now for my civic. I almost bought one but after extensive research on the internet I decided I could make the payments, but I wouldn't have the money to repair it all of the time. Supposedly there has been a big issue with the front alignment on the Z causing it to shred tires after 8k miles. The only fix they have supplied was to switch the tires around to wear the other side out too. If you're really looking into the z, you should first make sure you are going to have money to pay for way overpriced repairs. It's a nice car, but it isn't worth it imo.

Just another point of view on the subject.
There has to be a way to fix that besides switching the tires back and forth. To me that sounds more like a lazy Nissan mechanic fix and I know plenty of lazyass Nissan mechanics. I beleive they fixed the problem in the later year models.

From what I have read (which is never 100% accurate,) the 07 does not have this problem but all later models did. I read around 100 user reviews from various websites and almost 30% of the buyers have had problems with it. I don't like those numbers.

Im looking primarily at 2 seater coupe sport cars, I am going to go check out a s2000. I liked the z but i didnt know they had reliabilty issues.

Though at this point I am looking at all options, stupid me but maybe even an RX-8 i like the way there styled. To me the car has to look good for me to drive it.

buy this (S54 M Coupe). It has a motor from 2001+ M3. The only problem is that it's pretty damn rare:

or this (pretty much the same thing):
