Default Is this a good price???

I really really need a new battery and the best OPTIMA I found is a yellow top for a civic $160 out the door.

I know they are awesome power supplies, and considering a crappy wal-mart battery is like 60-70 bucks it seems reasonable to me.

That's exactly on target, actually that's $10 cheaper than a site I found, but that was a few weeks ago

Optima Yellow Top's are meant for high use-age, mainly car audio systems

We were talking about deep cycle batteries like the Optima yellow top in auto class when we were discussing batteries, starters, and alternators. Our teacher told us that these batteries are designed to be drained completly down and then charged up. So what CivicBoy said is correct, they are for audio use. People have them because they goto a show or something and run thier batteries to near dead and then charge them, then repeat. I don't think that an Optima Yellow Top is gonna be good for you if you are gonna be using it on your DD. I dunno what battery is good, since i've never had to buy one but maybe that helps.

Well after putting in my DVD player and sub amp and door speakers. My bat and alt has died and my fuel hog f-250 is my DD until sat. The place I got all my of my system from only had one OPTIMA that would fit in a civic and yellow top I called today and told him to put it back for me and I would come get it tomorrow.

the yellow top is the dd of the optima line up, by friend had one in his cavalier and it worked awesome, his car started everyday, it never died even with the subs, neons etc.
