i got up this morning, went to class, did some errands with my dad, then came back to my dorm, and was about to start some homework, and then my roommate told me he was sorry to hear about my car, and then i was like "what the fudge are you talking about". He then asked if i had heard or not, and i was like, "heard what?". He said, "you haven't heard yet, your car got broken into last night" so a few curse words later and violent temper, i found my car with a broken passenger window, need to retint now (of course), broken ac bezel, slightly damaged dash, scratches and glass everywhere. come to find out, about 16/18 cars were all broken into in a parking lot and other spots within a block within one night. they lifted fingerprints and everything. The sorry SOB that did all of this got away with nothing except for an f'ing pair of 15 buck glasses and a pack of gum (Stride i believe), that's what pisses me off the most, i wish he just took the radio, so i can upgrade to a new one.

since i need a new ac bezel, i was wondering what it takes to convert the 1997 ac bezel to the 1999-2000 year bezel with the side ac climate controls (i've always wanted one)? do i need new plugs or new brackets or what?

i need to know quick since i need to get this fixed asap.

converting to never hvac controls isn't impossible, but rather difficult. You'll ned quite a few parts from the donor car.

 

i don't think they'll give me a name, but that's probably a good thing, because i'll probably seriously f him up personally if i find out, but they will contact me when they catch the group of guys that did it.

 

nevermind about the 99-00 cc, i'll have to change the ac plugs, as well as the heater vents won't line up, i guess i'll just have to settle with one from a junkyard tomorrow hopefully.

At one of my jobs, we have a parking lot that gets broken into about onces a month (this is at a hotel resort) and they just brake windows and take crap, but no one ever hears them. Anyways, one time they broke in carswile my car was in the lot, broke into every car around,both sides of me,except mine!!! I have viper stickers on my side widows, so if they would of smached my window, the gig would be up.

 

thought about it in the past, i don't know much about alarms, does the viper come with all of the sensors if the windows were to be broken, or if the vehicle were to be messed with?

plus, it was dark and i don't think it would have made a difference, they would have already broke my window by then, and they won't get away with anything b/c i never leave anything in my car anyways. plus they broke into 16 cars within a night, in a busy parking lot, including bmw's, big suvs, and the works. they could have stole my amp, sub, front speakers, cd deck, ipod charger and everything if they had just popped the trunk from the front latch. either the guy was in a mad rush, or he has the IQ of a rock. i'm leaning towards the rock. he got away with a pack of gum and some cheapo shades, it just pisses me off that i have to go through the process of fixing it all now quick.
