ok, so im kind of a firearm junkie, anyone else out there? currently in the safe i have:

Remington 870 express w/ ported barrel, back bored, and merc weights
Remington 870 wingmaster trap edition
Remington 1100
2 M1 carbines from WW2
smith and wesson 9mm semi auto
Ruger 10/20 custom stock and forearm
real old springfield single shot 12 gauge i got from my grandpa
bolt action 410 (not sure on brand off the top of my head)
muzzle loader i built (also not sure on brand right now)

i cant wait for november 15 to get here, im going up to my aunt's land where using rifles is legal but have a question for anyone that can answer it for me, how far do you think i can shoot accurately with my m1 and still be able to take down a deer no problem, im thinking only like 75-100 yards but fill me in with any advice you got. its a .30 carbine

I got a rifle but I can't remember what it is, I will go look later. And I will be looking into buying a 9 sometime.

 

I have a 7.62 54mm rifle that I have hit at 675 yards with. I have hit farther, but did have a rangefinder so I cant claim it. I would think That I could still take down a deer at about 200 yards. But I think it would be up to how well you can shoot. I am not sure though. I dont ever hunt, I only target shoot. Long range stuff, and combat pistol. How long have you been shooting? I have been shooting for 24 years.

Mabey someone with more hands on with the .30cal might know more about what you will be able to do.

I just looked at my rifle, its a .243

 

i have 4 12 gauges, 3 20 gauges,1 16 gauge,3 22s, and 1 glock 9 all but 1 12 and 1 22 and the 9 are remington.
