Also Lacuna Coil has a new album out that is pretty friggin good.

 

I'll have to look into that. They're touring with In Flames, Seemless (lead singer is original singer from KSE), and a couple others. I'm hoping to get to that show, but it's looking bleek right now.

Man that blows... een though you DO get all the good concerts near you... here i am and the only half decent concert i ever got to go to is Three Days Grace.

But the new Lacuna Coil CD (Karmacode) kicks ***..... and you say that Seemless has the old lead singer from Killswitch? .... i didnt even know that killswitch engage had two singers before lol. i will check them out though

 

Yeah man the old singer is a white guy. He'd started a family and KSE was touring like crazy so he never got to see them. That, and screaming non-stop every night was taking it's toll on his voice. So he left KSE on good terms, and started seemless, a band that is a little more chill. He sings a lot more rather than screaming, and they only play like 20 shows a year or something like that.

I am glad that your music taste is alot like mine, my old roomate got me into metal, but they kept getting into heavier stuff( like canibal courpse), and i am just where i like it, with my In Flames, Maiden, Killswitch Engage... ectect.

 

Right on man. Once it crosses into that deep choking sound that they refer to as singing, that's where I draw the line. Bands like Trivium, KSE, In Flames, Lacuna, Dream Theatre, COB, etc.. Those are where it's at as far as I'm concerned. A band has got to have a healthy compromise of real music talent, and the ability to shred/scream and still sound good.
