Keep the dream alive and fix up the hatch. Everyone needs a dream, and if you buy yours you won't haev that dream anymore. Plus, if it isn't what you were expecting, then it would be even more of a let down.

guess im all alone in my little boat. i would kick me in my own nuts if i sold my white eg hatch. i would take the loan out and buy the teg as a weekend fun car while keeping the hatch.

Lifes too short to not do what makes you happy. Get the teg if thats what you really want.
It wasn't easy for me to sell my Civic, no matter what kind of front I put up. But I knew damn well I wanted a Subaru, so I did what I had to do in order for that to happen. And I've never been happier
