DETROIT -- Honda Motor Co. Ltd. said on Tuesday it is entering the U.S. market with a new small, fuel-efficient jet.

The Japanese company is partnering with Piper Aircraft on sales, service and engineering for the small jet.

"Both Piper and Honda bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the table," said James Bass, president and chief executive of Piper.

Honda said it would announce more details on the expected performance, price and interior of its new jet at a later date.

no no, ge/honda built turbo fan, produces i think 18,000 ibs of thrust very high engine speeds, like 30-40,000 rpm

think turbo charger, but with about 12 compressors, then a burner can to add fuel and combust it, then the exhaust turbines, then the exhaust cone to shoot the exhaust out with a high velocity to produce mucho thrust

 

hope it doesn't have goat **** brown interior
