Hey, I'm about to get another car for race-car type and I'm wondering what would be fastest.

 

IF its a full out race/track car, I suggest getting something that is NOT fwd. I hate to say it, but its a losing battle with fwd.

what kind of racing do you plan on doing with it?

The funny thing i fine about your poll is that you have both Si and TypeR listed, but if you are in a country that can get an Si you can't get a TypeR unless you import, and if you are in a country that can get an TypeR you can't get an Si... and if you could, why would you?

 

i said SI, but i'm not sure that he knows that you can't get type Rs everywhere

 

i said type r because i have no clue where you from and id rather have a type r anyday

i wouldn't say a losing battle with fwd unless its drag racing.

personally i would get a miata of the 1st generation vintage, they are cheap, and handle great for any type of racing wether autox or track racing etc.

my second choice would be a 88-91 civic hatch or crx. they handle great and are lighter than any other civic available when stripped out. parts are cheap, and they are hella more relialbe than any VW new or old.
