Default how do you drive in traffic? [manual cars]

ok i been drivin a manual for about a week and a half and pretty much have it down. so today i drove it to school and i got caught in traffic for the first time w/ a manual transmission. its bad. never really cared about traffic until now. lol. well every single morning theres lots of traffic goin to my school. and i wanna know how you guys drive in traffic. i mostly jus kept the car in first, occasionally puttin it back in nuetral and shifting into second, and i rode the clutch a lot. i dont know how else to do it!

I put mine in neutral, then when I need to go in first and drive, then in neutral and so on. I try and stay off the clutch as much as possible though, so as soon as I don't have to go anymore I put it in neutral and take my foot off it.

Just a tip, dont hold the clutch down all the time. You wear out the bearing.

But if you think that is bad, you ought to drive my civic around for a day.

I usualy let the car in front of me go for a little bit before I start to move again so I don't ride the clutch as much, also when I'm stoped I put it in neutral [also e-brake on a hill] so my legs don't get so tired.

i dont mind driving a manual traffic or not, but i really dont like how it is on the clutch...like remmy said, dont hold the clutch in to long..ur not supposed to leave the clutch in for more than 15seconds, if u do that to often then u'll start having problems.
