im just doing it to do it, not to show off or anything like that, thats childish and will eventually kill it.

yea just dont ever do the neutral rev to throw it into drive.
first off you have to be revving really high to burn out
and 2 there goes your tranny even after 1 time if you do it wrong

Let your car roll backwards a bit before you throw it in D and slam on the gas. That way it will take that backwards motion and make the tires spin when they start going the other way. I'm guessing your car is going to bounce like crazy though.

no not exactly but ill try it none the less, could you try to elabiorate a little more? lol

i work at the honda dealership so believe me i test hondas all day long. in order to do a burn out in a stock auto civic. put it in reverse for a quick second, then quickly slam the thing in low gears while pulling up the E brake at the same time. does that make sense?

You and black metal should just stop giving advice, are you going to pay for his tranny when its laying on the ground after he tries this?

I HIGHLY doubt his tranny is going to be lying on the ground after doing a little burnout once

lol doing a burnout like that on an auto tranny.....I wouldn't be suprised. And not discouraging him from doing it when he doesn't know any better isn't something anyone should condone (sp).
Black metal you are giving the dumbest advice you could possibly give. Just because you work at a dealership detailing cars doesnt mean you are a honda pro and then state/give advice on how to ruin a tranny in one shot. You might as well dump metal shards in the gears while you are at it.
Once again, you have managed to give crazy stupid advice. It will mess the car up to a dire extent. A honda is a good car, but its not invincible.
Exactly. Then dont say something idiotic to encourage damage to a vehicle.
P.S. on a side note, neutral dropping is not worse... going from reverse to forward like that is worse for a tranny. Infact, the super stress it would recieve on such a stop and reverse action wouldnt surprise me if it broke on the first try.
it wont do one single thing to the car as long as you dont do it at every stoplight. Hondas are hondas, though its not good to abuse them, they can still handle it. Must we repost the video of those dumb as.s kids trying to break that civic and they cant do it ?
well i dont drive an auto, so i guess i dont know any better either

Please dont. If you hate your current tires so much take them off and take them to a landfill or something. Doing that with an auto tranny will damage it and you just never know when it'll let go on you. Take it from a guy who went through 5 auto transmissions in a week once(not in a civic though).
