i believe they are required to give you a carfax when you buy the car.
at least thats the way it was in my case.

I think I'll probably do what Masonn said and offer them $5500 cash and go from there. I'm almost positive I can talk them down to at least $6k if I offer cash. But first I need to talk the parents into letting me get the Integra (not to mention I have a bike and a car to sell lol)

(and I hope they give me a carfax... it'd be nice to know the car's history... but not nice enough to pay for it lol)

i would DEFINATLY GET A CARFAX report on it! you dont want a car thats been wrecked to badly.... if its been wrecked afew times you should be able to chew them down more... SHOULD BUT thiers always the strick sellers that dont chew... i couldnt chew the small car lot on my 99civic for anything! i spent 1/2hour pointing out flaws and the guy didnt chew any BUT i wanted a civic with ABS brakes. kinda wish i didnt settle BUT to late now... i guess i was kinda mad the other dealership sold the other hatchback i wanted so quickly and i didnt want to have it sold out from under me again...

but cash money does talk..... [8D]
i wish you luck with the chew!!!

i bought my 2000 integra ls at 70k miles for 9,500. With a lot of privately owned dealerships, their prices are no hassle, which means you cant talk them down. but try anyways.
