False weight or not. The bears nose is the freaking size of that dudes whole head.

 

a 20 ga is a joke when up to a bear. even if its not a huge freak one like that. personally, I wouldnt go treking Alaska without at least my 300 Win Mag with 220 grain Barnes X-Bullets, and backed up with a holstered .357. not for some sick sadistic killing spree, but if that guy had been carrying anything less than a 7mm, he would have been toast. though I would love to hike Alaska. if i get to, I will be armed.

 

i hiked an alaskan glacier a few summers ago (two?). got to look over the forests...theyre amazing. if youve got a .357 and some spare time and want to go on a little adventure...the alaskan forests are awe inspiring.

 

yeah, when im financially stable, im going to start taking trips like that as much as possible.

 

Me too, but my destinations will include, Infineon, Buttonwillow, Thunder hill, ect, ect.
