ok, so my dad offered to sell his 1999 sonata to me for a commuter, it is auto, has a new transmission at 120 000 km, and i know he takes good care of it, this car is also one of my choices for commuting to work, what do you guys think? because like before, I can only own one car for at least 2 years.

Nice cars, and like most any if its been taken care of it should be fine. As a commuter I think it'd be great....good gas mileage and although some have varied opinions of hyundai, my mom has a brand new sonata and I think they're pretty reliable.

i'm not crazy about ANY sedans, let alone a hyundai, but they're decent cars.

it could be worse. your dad could offer you a VW or a mitsubishi with no warranty...

Do it. Buying from family is a great way because you no everything about the car, nothing hidden.

lol. hyundai is upscale kia. I wouldn't buy either new, but if it's just a driver, shouldn't be a problem. just don't push it like you would your honda.
