Aw! Remmy that was so nice of you to save the lil guy! And def a good decision to call bat rescue. Hopefully Pedro will be ok to go out into the wild! And I didnt know they were that small! A couple years ago I went to the Carlsbad Caverns in NM, and the bats were much bigger there. And I must say, youre a very brave guy to take a bat into your house! Id be too scared. Nah, it peed. He was fine. THe bat lady said he will be released tonight. He got blown into a window from all the high winds we had last night.



I didnt take him into my house. I took him into my office! Lmao!

 

Well done man! And lucky you didn't get rabies...I heard the vaccine is hell!

 

^ thats the problem. THere like 26 different vaccines for rabies. If you got rabies and didnt have the animal guess what, you get all 26 shots. But if you do have the animal, they can identify it. Since I didnt physically touch it Im rabies free. BUt what really sucks is that there is no known cure, only vaccines. Once the symptoms show up, your screwed.

 

haha..well if you start foming at the mouth or being really aggesive i would go get some shots lol, funny story..i live out in the country and in the summer there are tuns of bats flying around at night, my sister was riding her bike (a long time ago) and a bat got tangled up in her hair and she was screaming trying to get the bat out and riding the bike...hahaha..she fell and got scraped,im not sure what happend to the bat but it makes me laphe everytime i hear this story

i agree...they dont fly around my house...but i used to have a friend who lives out in schoolcraft (actually come to think of it i might have dated her for a few months)...its a small town about fifteen minutes south of here...she lived out on a house in the middle of a big open field with a few trees here and there...and at night there were bats EVERYWHERE. it was crazy. theyre sweet.

 

You gotta watch out for the bat guano (feces) it has ammonia in it and even smelling too much of it could kill you.

 

Yeah bats are cool, i remember a couple years back i was laying in bed watching TV and my girlfriend was asleep, then i saw this thing fly accross the room(i have a basement room) and it was a bat, he sat in this crack that was under a shelf fo i couldn't get him. I drove my girlfriend home and then tried to get him out of my room by putting on gloves and grabbing him with a towel, but everytime i went to grab him he would go back in the crack, he was getting pissed, so i said "SCREW THIS!!" and slept on the couch and shut my door.

later that night my step brother was sleeping, and the bat flew into his head, he grabbed a beer box(that he had emptied that night and he was still drunk) and caught the bat in the box and thrwew it out the window. the whole thing was funny as hell in the long run

My cousin in Michigan woke up and found he had been bitten by a bat. All 26 shots put that guy through four days of hell. He said he thinks dying of the disease would have been easier.

 

Do all 26 go in the stomach? Thats got to hurt like hell.
