I hate bills

2) cable/internet bill ($60)
3) utilities bill ($170)
4) car insurance ($347)
5) tuition ($750)
6) rent ($1700 for 2nd semester)

I can't believe all of these fell within 1 week of eachother!!!!!!![:@] car insurance is every 6 months, utilities is every 3 months, tuition every 6 months, rent every 6 months, oil change every 5k miles, man o man

Do the brakes and oil yourself. Its so simple. I learned how to do it with a few socket wrenches and a haynes manual. As far as changing oil goes......well I think a chimp could get it done.
I want to learn how to do it myself, I get a hook up with my oil changes, I bring them free pizza, they change my oil free.... so thats cool
but does anyone have a nice break pad and rotor walkthrough they could give send me? this will be a very handy skill to learn for the future

In a few years you'll be wishing your bills were so inconsequential. This month will be the proverbial" good ole days" . Of course, when you finish your education it's best to maximize your money making potential. Bills are all relative. Also, don't fall into the "instant gratification" trap. There is no bill paying fairy, although it is possible to be a fairy and pay bills! Right, Gene?

If you have a friend that does oil changes for you, have them show you how to do it next time. Brakes are super easy(disks at least), there are 2 bolts for the caliper, 2 bolts for the caliper bracket, and 2 screws (sometimes) for the rotor. after you get all this stuff off, the rotors come off. Push the piston back in with a C-clamp. PUt everything back together and you're done. Get a manual as Pete said. You might even be able to download a factory service manual from the internet as a PDF if you look.
alright just ordered a haynes book... it looks like it tells you how to do everything pretty much right? does it tell stuff like how to install a-pillar gauges?
also, do I need a torque wrench to do brakes? I have all kinds of wrenches and sockets and screw drivers and clamps and what not, will that be good enough?

Dude,
brakes are so easy it ain't even funny. PM me and I'll help you out. Stop paying $60 for cable...there are waaay cheaper alternatives. By the way a pizza sots more than an oil change.
and Rob, we'll talk later
