On Saturday night, my stepdad had his car parked in a parking lot, and when he came out someone (it probably was a big truck that backed into it) smashed his whole front end. The front bumper, left headlight and the whole hood is smashed. Hes so mad, and I think he only put liability on it cause its his commuter. He asked my mom for a CF hood for xmas now. Haha its funny that me and my stepdad want one of the same things for xmas. Anyway..I cant believe ppl are so indecent to hit a car and jsut leave. Its just wrong. Id flip if it happened to me.

 

I have tooooo many dings and cracks to count...it's all going to trash anyway, all of my body panels will be replaced before summer comes...

 

I managed to do this to my car while switching to my winter meats..[:@]

well, just got back from getting the door ding pulled out of my new car by one of those dent wizard type of services.

the ding was in the worst possible place on a new civic, rear quarter panel. usually you can just drill in the door panel wall but the new civics have double wall construction. so the guy had to drill in a real tight space near the door edge. it was hairy to watch.

the dood had to pull off a miracle to get to it to say the least.

he got 95 percent of the bend out, with only a faint flicker in the side panel curve. you really can't see it unless you're looking for it.

I didn't have to pay the guy, since it was warrantied, but he saved me several hundreds of dollars for a traditional repair job, so i gave him 60 bucks for his time.

i hate people...

 

yeah my insurance company want to replace it with an aftermarket bumper instead of oem.... ughhhhhh!

 

i think legally you could always demand an OEM bumper. you may have to pay the difference, though.

 

By law, the insurance has to replace your bumper with an OEM bumper either the same age or newer.
