tonight my wife and i went out to eat in columbia s.c. for our one year anniversary, and on the way back home i stopped to get gas. the attendant was a jerk because he tried to keep my credit card. but anyway, after i pumped my gas i forgot to put my gas cap back on, and did not realize it until i was miles down the road. (i need to be hit with a ricers spinning hubcap!!)

 

it happens. if you go back to the station, they might have it. i had to do that for my bro. they might even just have another Honda one. they had like 4 of them when i asked.

That's a good reason to do a "gas cap holder" modification.

 

That happens to the best of us. However, in your case, since it was your anniversary, maybe you were thinking about what would happen later that night more than the gas cap...

 

Yeah, but you really should have remebered to grab it because you couls have used the practice of screwing in there nice and tight like

 

ya i've done that, luckily i set it on the roof and it was still there at my next stop

 

God ive been waiting forever to use this one... now I can!

 

Once on a road trip I put some oil in my car at a station and left the oil cap on the intake manifold when I shut the hood. It rode there wedged between the hood and manifold for 500 miles.

But seeing people drive down the road with their gas door open drives me insane.

 

oh my gosh, i always want to get out at a red light and close it. thats so annoying! i did it the other day, and pulled over after like 1 block to close it. first time i can ever remember doing that. but i closed it, it just didnt latch, so it was almost closed.[:@]
