^ yeah, well it's either ask for permission or find another place to live... personally, I think I'll deal with having to ask permission rather than have to pay to live somewhere lol

If it doesent work out with that bike a friend of mine is selling his 02 cbr600, he bought it brand new and it only has like 4500 miles on it. You live in PA, and I am about an hour away from the border of PA and NJ. Let me know if it doesn't work out i'll get you a price and pics.

 

^ that's kinda far to go... I'm pretty much on the other side of PA... the Pittsburgh area (well, about 60 miles or so south of the burgh, but close enough)... still, thanks for the offer

 

I was talking to a buddy of mine tonight and he said the first thing you need to do is replace the taillight with the brightest LED one you can find. It will let the person behind you see you better and with it being LED it will light up faster which means they have more time to stop. Not much mind you, but a few feet is worth it.

Exactly. That was my point. The guy on the bike is being careful. Its the soccer mom in the SUV that runs you over and doesn't even feel it that worries me. LOL

 

okay, I just got back from meeting the guy... I'm taking ownership tomorrow. He's also selling me his helmet (a Shoei... it's a Troy Lee Designs, too) with the bike, along with the stock winshield (he has a tinted one on it right now), the stock pipe (he has a D&D pipe on it now), and an extra rear tire (the tire on it right now still has a few hundred miles on it).. I took some pics on my cell phone, but I'm waiting to get the email I sent myself lol

EDIT: Oh, yeah, and Windcalmer... I'll look into the LED taillight thing... I didn't even think of that.. thanks.

Also, apparently my phone doesn't like sending emails... I'll send it to a friend and have her email it back to me... I'll hopefully have pics up by tomorrow
