so heres the deal. newyears i went to a party with a bunch of friends. one of my friends (a girl actually) and i decide to step outside to have a smoke. cigs...not marijuana. now...i quit smoking a while ago. not like its that hard at this age anyway. but hey...one never hurt anyone right? well yeah...newyears came and went. i come into school and some people are pissed at me for it. ok...i can understand...you guys dont like smokers. well then one of my friends IMs me and she tells me 'so i heard you and mitchell (mitchell is the girls last name...she goes by that) were smoking pot at kendras party.' so i respond 'haha who told you that? its not true. it was just cigs.' she says she doesnt want to tell me. so i ask 'really...i wanna know who is saying that about me.' she still responded with 'im not telling you.' so naturally...im kinda miffed that someone is spreading rumors around that im doing something illegal...and this would probably get around to teachers, then to the cops, and i'll have to deal with all of that just because of this stupid rumor. all i wanted was to find out who started this rumor so i could talk to them and set things straight so i didnt have to deal with the cops. well again...she wouldnt tell me. so, as you can imagine im really starting to get mad about this. whats so wrong with telling me whos saying this about me? 'i cant...its one of my friends and i dont want to start any drama.' ok..i think to myself...you're only starting drama by telling me that people are spreading **** about me and then not telling me who. honestly...i just want to know. well while im just cruising around here looking for she starts talking about how if i really want to know that bad then shes not going to carry on a conversation with me if i cant drop it and theres no point in talking anymore...and blocks me. she says all of this and blocks me...five minutes after i dropped it. i hadnt said anything since then. so now, not only am i having crap about me smoking pot flying all over the school...i have one pissed off friend and no way to stop this whole thing. i already have a police record (if you can remember back to when my friend vandalized my car and stuff...i made an empty threat...not even directly...i told one of my friends something...dont even remember what...she told him...his mom saw it and took it as a threat, so she took it to the police and now both of us have a police record for the 'threat' and the vandalization). so yeah...i have a police record...and if this gets around to them im busted. and the only way i can get to this thing is if this girl tells me who is saying this about me. but of course...she wont. dammit...

If it did get around to the police all you would have to do is offer to submit to a drug test.

And try not to worry about this drama. If youre not doing anything wrong, you cant get in trouble.

Wow, thats definitely not true. Im sorry to disagree but where did you hear that? THC only stays in you urine for about 30 days, depending on how often and the amount that you consume. And that is the most common way to drug test someone, because Im sure the cops arent going to waste $2000 on a hair folicole test, because they heard a rumor that you were smoking marijuana. And even with a hair sample, THC stays in your system then for about 7 years. So yes, he could fail that, but like I said, its very unlikely that any officer would be able to validate submitting a teenager to that kind of drug test because of rumors.

I dont think you have anything to worry about nail.

 

I think with pot, the test can only determine if you have smoked in the last 30 days, thats how long it stays in your system. At least thats wat i remember from health class 2 years ago. And how the hell can you have a police record if the cops haven't talked to, writen you up for a citation, or arrested you? And how much of a friend can she be to you if she is running around talking **** about u.

 

you are in high school arent you. the cops arent gonna hear about it and if they did they really wouldnt bother with a circumstantial rumor that a 16 yr old kid is smoking weed that is everywhere if you were selling it or posess it they have no right to administer a drug test with out your parents consent and if a drug test were to be administered it would be unianylsis which marijuana only remains in your urine for approximately 27 days. Screw hs drama its just a rumor who cares

There are plenty of people at my school who know all about this, because our school threatened to do drug tests after a bunch of kids came to a dance drunk (long story). But yeah, it's the hair tests that I am talking about. From what I've heard from them (I definetly am no expert on this kind of stuff), the THC stays in your system forever, but I guess this could be wrong (I really wouldn't know). I do know that a bunch of them bought this little kit thing that composed of some pills and a special shampoo that supposedly flushes out your system.

But seriously dude, you have nothing to worry about. The cops aren't gona come looking for you because of a rumor that's been going around.

 

I absolutly HATED that $hit when I was your age. I dont know why people get off doing that stuff. I had my own apartment starting at 17 and within 6 months, I was known as some sort of street pharmicist by all the parents in my crowd. They thought that everybody went over there ( I used to throw crazy *** parties) to buy/do drugs. And the funny thing is, not only do I completly resent any form of narcotic, but I cant stand em in the first place anyway. I would even turn or kick people out of my place if they even pulled out something other than a beer or cig out of their pocket. That wasnt a biased statement because Ive tried some before to "see what Ive been missin' "


What I love is once I met one of these parents that really pushed the rumor and he never even saw my face or met me. I knew who he was and after he talked to me once in a store for about an hour, he asked me my name and dropped his jaw after I told him. He had no idea who I REALLY was until he met me.


Marshall, just remember this. Dont worry to much about it, just remember you are better than they are and you will come out on top. Ive been there and even worse where I have been told to leave places for no apparent reason at all. They will eventually learn who you REALLY are, and trust me, you will get so much more satisfaction knowing that they know you are better than just telling somebody off or getting something straight.
