My master cylinder justr came in the mail...you guys have nooooo idea how excited I am that I'm finally able to just go out, do the breaks and be able to drive my car again...I think I'm gonna **** my pants...it's been sitting dead for like a month now cause of a leaking master cylinder...I was gonna fix it to sell it, but now I'm just doing it for my own pleasure.........YEEEEHHAAAAAW

Hehehe...well I just got back from the store with some DOT-5 brake fluid...damn that stuff is expensive. Anyhow if I get the time, I'll do it tomorrow (if the damned rain stops)

 

Im excited to. I get coilovers and new front shocks tomorow. Yayaya!

oh crap. dot 5 is a PAIN. it wont mix with anything lower, and tends to absorb water from the air easier than regular fluid, lowering its boiling point, making it no better than DOT4. honestly, return it for some DOT4. DOT4 will mix with DOT3, so you just need to run a bit of fresh through all of the lines, instead of flushing DOT5 through to clean out all of the old stuff. seriously, just get some DOT4. the only thing that makes it better is the boiling point, so if it absobs water, then youre wasting your money. its made for race cars that change the fluid after like one or two track days.

 

hmmm...good thing you're here to tell me that....since I'm changing the brake lines and prop valve anyway, I'm doing a full flush....but I'll go and do DOT4...

 

Did u get a OEM master cylinder or a racing one?
