Woo So after 4 ½ weeks of no computer i finially am just finishing up setting up my newly built computer. just have to reinstall some drivers and i am DONE!!! Woo.
In total i spent $1200+CAD(i am considering my new monitor from a while ago included on the built), And the built includes
ASUS P5B Motherboard
Pentium D 3.2Ghz
1Gb Ram(gonna get more)
XFX GeForce 7950 GT Xtreme 512MB Video card
OCZ GameXtreme 600Watt powersupply
And a bunch of fans to keep things nice and cool
And an authentic version of Windows XP Pro too(for free) lol so i can actually get normal updates now too. no more pirated copy for me
My original budet was $1000 but when i found the video card for $320CAD and everyone else wanted $400+ for it i couldn't pass up the oporitunity
WOO I am so happy right now

Nice! I am in the works right now. Got an EVGA 680i SLI mobo and a Big Water Liquid cooling system in my case thats all for right now. I wanna get a GTX 8800 video card though. I hope your running Windows XP and not Vista?
^ XP Pro and wouldn't have it any other way when it comes to Windows. I was looking at the 8800's but they were $200CAD more expensive then the 7950 GT Xtreme on tigerdirect. which is where i got the video card. which BTW is only $250US for the one i got on tigerdirect.com
And i knew i should have gotten pics of all the stuff lol.
Well i don't have pics of the actual computer but here is the pic of my favorite part, which cost near as much as the mobo and cpu combined lol
The video card which actually came with Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter too

Nice, you should try Memory Express in Calgary. Cheaper than TigerDirect (I used to order from TD). I dont like Vista for anything other then gaming, I only use it bacauseit has Direct X10. And the 8800 is the only card that can use DX10 also. But I dont think everone needs DX10 its only cause there are lots of games coming out I want to be ready for.
^ true true, i would like to be DX10 compliant but i don't have the $$ to pay for Vista yet, and i want to wait till Vista is not so buggy like all microsoft OS's when they first come out. One game that i would like to play for Vista is Halo2 when it comes out, but there are others that i would like to try for now.
What a difference between the old setup and the new, i was just playing Star Wars: Wmpire At War, and when i first played it, i had it on the lowest resolution and the lowest graphcs settings and things were pretty choppy, now it was on 1440x900(highest my LCD monitor will go) with everything cranked to High and my frame rate was higher then before
