I've had the worst day.
Insurance is covering the trade in value, around 5 thousand, which is helpful, but its still disheartening to have your car taken from your school, somewhere thats supposed to be safe.
Darkness, the lot is comepletely ungaurded, and the lot is connected to 2 outside roads. so since nobody is there the guard it, anyone can drive/walk in and basically do what they want. Plus state law says they cant lock the cars in the lot with gates.
Im really sorry. I cant even imagine wat it would be like for my car to be stolen. I park mine in the garage at night, and I also live in like freakin suburbia..with nothing but families with billions of lil kids running around..Even if your insurance covers it, it would just make me feel like vulnerable ever leaving my car in the parking lot again.
sorry man thats got to suck but like you said look on the bright side they left your books and a change of cloths lol sorry i just find that kinda funny.i know its not but what some thiefs do blows my mind
but alarms wont even give a good theif a second look. also i have seen them steal cars with wreckers ect.
also they have to give you FMV (fair market value) for you car its the law they will always start out low hopping you will take it so alwas tell them you want more price simlar cars at local dealerships and when they give you the lowball figure tell them you cant replace it for that and give them you prices and dealerships where you found them
good luck
