i have $800 now that i sold my old car. other than a paint job, what shall i invest in? since i'm doing a mini-me, i'm tempted to get better valvetrain components. what are your ideas and brand names? no i'm not going to turbo it either. i want to go N/A.

all your ideas and 2 cents would be nice. thanks

12:1 compression pistons and maybe some forged connecting rods. That might run a bit over 800 since the pistons are about $400 and the connecting rods are about $400 and the piston rings are about $200 (total of $1000). And then you still have to have the block honed/machined. Plus labor if that applies.

that sounds cool but since i'm in cali, i don't know how that will affect when i get it smogged and what not. and considering its a DD, i can't make it to high of a CR.

If you do a minime,do the intake and exhaust then fuel rail and upgrade injectors, probably the best bang for the buck.

if you liver in cali. you have already broken the vehicle code by changing components of you engine. i.e a mini-me. so why worry about passing smog if you're not gonna pass the other inspections.

well for getting it to pass smog with the mini me done, i can just switch back in my old ecu so that way i wouldn't even throw a code when i take it in. but then the whole fuel map and such would be set back to work for a d15b7 engine.....or would that even be possible? right now i just have an AEM intake and a TSUDO catback exhaust. does anyone know where i can find the db output for the exhaust? or can i just take it to some shop to find out? i have to have a fix-it ticket with a certain code in order to take it to a state referee to have tested. so lets here more info. thanks

oh thats sweet.... one of the guys that helped with those dyno tests works in haryward which is 5 minutes from where i live lol. so if i get this package i can go there and get it properly dynoed and tuned. thanks, this will prolly save me a few hundred bucks. i was planning on getting crower valvetrain parts. that would have been a pretty penny.

A note to that stuff, the Type S cam has the same specs as a stg 2 Crower and the Type R cam has the same specs as the stg 3 Crower
