I know they have been brought up before, But I just got my hot little hands on the Fort Minor record. Its Mike Shinodas new hip-hop project. any hip-hop/rap fans or Linkin Park fans HAVE to pick up this album. its hard to find modern hip-hop with meaning to the lyrics, but this stuff had me mesmerized all weekend.

 

Ive been meaning to pick it up actually. I like the song Petrified......im sure theyre all good.

 

Linkin' Park is in my CD player right now.

 

honestly, since i got the cd, i dont think ive listened to any of the songs i'd heard before from beggining to end. its the other stuff that I love. It kind of freaked me out, because I got it friday morning, and I had a lot of really deep stuff going through my mind, and a couple of the songs literaly put my thoughts into words. I cant believe how deep some of it is.

 

theyre good man. So is mike, hes great at what he does.

 

Hey sacs I love that cd too man. Ive had it since November and Ive been rocking it ever since. "Red to Black" is my favorite song on the cd. I know what you mean about the deepness of some of the songs. I was going through some crap when I first got the cd. Good cd at the right time. That and Anberlin. Great cd too.

 

and he looks a lot like a friend of mine from when i was a kid.[&:] didnt notice till i was watching the "Remember the Name" vid, but its kinda eery.

 

Kenjis song and Right Now just made my jaw drop. I am so addicted to this stuff right now.

 

Where'd You Go is such a great song too. I think its great how he wrote it from his wifes perspective and how she misses him. The end makes you feel kinda bad for him since he never sees his family. Very emotional song.

 

I'm the anti-hip-hop and rap....but, I will admit, the few Fort Minor songs that I've heard so far, I've definitely gotten into. I'll have to check out the rest of them.
