Default Long time no see/paintballing

I haven't lurked on HCF for quite a while but I'm glad to see all the regulars are still on. Sorry to say I have no real news for you besides the fact that I had a great time this weekend at the paintball park. I haven't gone for at least a year, and my own gun is at least 10 years old, to give you an idea of how out of the loop I am. I have an Automag RT Pro custom, and I was sad to hear from one of the refs that they no longer manufacture my particular gun. The postivie news is that he said if I wanted to sell it, I could probably get like $800 for it, since its in great shape. (I only paid $300 for it new.)

I also decided to leave my car stock to save money, since I have other pursuits in progress. Trent knows.

Just out of curiosity, how many other HCF members paintball, and if so, what type of gun do you use? I was thinking about buying a faster gun and getting back into the sport.

I used to paintball hard core when I was younger, then I stopped, but this summer Im going to be going again. There is a huge paintball place around here, tuns on different fields. I dont have my own gun, but if I get into it again I might buy one.

I used to play.
Spyder's are amazing. VS1's are ehh...vs2's are the best VS's.
I love pilots/imagine's.
I'm not into mag's tho. Too old for my taste.

actually, some of the older spyders were very unreliable and jammed a lot due to their low end fire mechanism. and i used to play every now and then a long time ago when i was younger. my little brother used to play a lot, now he doesn't, and he has a tippman 98 custom with access. and some new spyder.

I never had problems with spyders. In my 4-5 yrs of playing, ive owned well over 15 spyders...not to mention tons of high ends.
Not sure how they were unreliable. Ya they didn't have eyes and they operated at ~800 psi. But I never once had a problem.

i'm just telling you want i know and have experienced. my friends back in high school went pro, they pretty much knew their stuff, so i'm gonna stick with their knowledge and what they found out from other pros and experts. you could be one of the lucky few, but this only relates to their low-mid grade guns.

Ahh. Ya alot of people have alot of troubles with spyders. But maybe I can fix them blindfolded which is why I never have problems.
