Long time no see/paintballing
I haven't lurked on HCF for quite a while but I'm glad to see all the regulars are still on. Sorry to say I have no real news for you besides the fact that I had a great time this weekend at the paintball park. I haven't gone for at least a year, and my own gun is at least 10 years old, to give you an idea of how out of the loop I am. I have an Automag RT Pro custom, and I was sad to hear from one of the refs that they no longer manufacture my particular gun. The postivie news is that he said if I wanted to sell it, I could probably get like $800 for it, since its in great shape. (I only paid $300 for it new.)
I also decided to leave my car stock to save money, since I have other pursuits in progress. Trent knows.
Just out of curiosity, how many other HCF members paintball, and if so, what type of gun do you use? I was thinking about buying a faster gun and getting back into the sport.

I've just startedinto paintball a year agoand picked me up a Spyder Pilot ACS and just recently aSpyder VS1. I dunno how goodthey are, but I'm really liking the VS1.
I used to paintball hard core when I was younger, then I stopped, but this summer Im going to be going again. There is a huge paintball place around here, tuns on different fields. I dont have my own gun, but if I get into it again I might buy one.
actually, some of the older spyders were very unreliable and jammed a lot due to their low end fire mechanism. and i used to play every now and then a long time ago when i was younger. my little brother used to play a lot, now he doesn't, and he has a tippman 98 custom with access. and some new spyder.
I never had problems with spyders. In my 4-5 yrs of playing, ive owned well over 15 spyders...not to mention tons of high ends.
Not sure how they were unreliable. Ya they didn't have eyes and they operated at ~800 psi. But I never once had a problem.
