Default Lots of Pain

yeah so i joined a mens soccer league in philly... and no one wanted to be goalie so i volunteered... well today was our first game... to make a long story short... i'm out for the season... ibroke at least 2 ribs, i would have to get x-rayed to see if i broke or fractured anymore but my doctor said i def broke 2.... moving is a pain, sitting is a pain, standing is a pain... everything freaking hurts... even breathing

i did block the shot though, guy was on a breakaway and i slid and got the ball but he came at me with a knee and hit me in the back of my side.... then stepped on my knee so that is cut up and bruised too...

GO PAIN!!!!!!!!!

looks like i'm out of work for a while.... i just freaking started on monday haha

Soccer, eh? Not a fan of playing. But I like to watch occasionally. I give you major props, though. Playing a game where the main objective is getting a ball kicked at the middle of your face.

I'm more of a skateboard, paintball, snowboarder. The kind of thing where I'm responsible for getting hurt and not some other guy kicking something at me.

I hope you feel better, man. Gotta hurt. Let us know how progress is going.

thats the worst part... he didnt get anything... he kept playing... i wasnt too concerned about it at the time haha i was more worried about the fact i couldnt breathe, then getting to the doctors

yeah i dont get how i surf, wakeboard, snowboard, etc, but i get injured playing soccer.... makes no sense to me when i'm doing tantrums on the wakeboard, flying over 45 foot gaps on the snowboard, and carving up huge waves and dont get hurt (except for some torn muscles in my knees and thigh haha) but i play soccer and i break ribs and tear up my knee... oh well, gotta love the game

yeah i know the felling. Try kicking someone elses shin and u knock him down and u keep playing. Boy i had a bruise for ever and i still have a indention of it on my shin and this was like 10 years or more years ago. I was only 5'5" and weighed maybe 140 and this dude was almost 6'0" and weighed around 180 or more. He left the game for a while and i kept running around like it was nothing and after the game was over thats when I started to limp around like a **** because it hurt so damm bad. Went to pratice that next week and I told the coach I was in a lot of pain for taking that guy out but I still played the game because thats how much I like.

That guy should of been kicked out of the game for even stepping on you. i remember when I played goalie 1 time that I was going after the ball and got kicked so damm hard with ball when I was already on top of it and the dude did get carded for it. I had to leave that game to go ref some 5 year olds in another town, so i wished I could stayed a while longer. But oh well I was on a crappy team that year anyways I was playing guys that were in there senior year of high shool and was like in the 10th grade at the time. Oh well life continues i guess.

Yea bro, sorry, I know what getting injured in soccer is like, its a lot rougher than people think. I have a lifelong problem from it. Got kicked in the side of the knee once, strained ACL and now there is very little cartilage between the two knee bones, a lot of it got "squished" out for lack of a better word. Get better

Soccer could be more violent than most people imagined... I used to play defence and got hurt pretty much every second game [:@] Only went as far as one broken rib once and that's only because I couldn't help it, but get into a fight with the other team's "star"...hehe

If you tried that in one of our teams you'd be carried away in a stretcher...
