Yea, the Elise is pretty sweet and very tiny. But it rocks the celica engine from what I understand.
Yeah... totaly lame. They need to grow a set and put the F22 in it.

Ive been in a couple of elise's and they are awesome, ive also seen ones with 200bhp civic type-r engines in, a company near me specializes in these converions. My mechanic has one and he's getting a 300bhp 1.8l turbo audi engine converion in his. as far supercharged factory ones, thats not true, lotus makes the chassis for a vauxhall vx220 (basically the same car) only heavier and with a vauxhall 2.2l turbo motor. but its not as good as an elise.

Light, fast, and very very nimble are the 3 words I use to descibe them. They are built to be on a track and pull over 1g in turns in stock trim. The 1.8 out of the Celica is a nice engine.....every bit the engine a B18C1 is if not better. The cars have a better power to weight ratio than a 911 GTR and hit low 13 second 1/4 mile times bone stock. Lotus knows what they are doing and it shows. BTW the Elise is in a much higher class than a S2000 or a Miata, as good as those two cars are they are still not at the same level.

Actually, a 911 GTR is a custom 996 GT3 with 600 whp in a 3200 lb frame... The Elise can't touch that with a freakin' extension ladder.

It still holds the "street-legal supercar" lap record at the Nurburgring...

And yeah, the 1ZZ's are NOT boost-friendly.
