Lucky to be alive
I remember reading about a woman that swerved to miss a dog,hit a tree and killed both of her kids. I don't understand why a dogs life is more valued than the lives of people and property. I've been in a situation where it was hit the dog or have an accident in traffic. I hit the dog and it was the right thing to do. The situation was not of my making but I will not endanger the lives of other people to avoid an animal in the road. If anyone cared about the animal it wouldn't be in the road in the first place. Just my opinion.
sometimes it's easier said than done.. everything happens in a split second. I'd like to think everything in life happens for a reason and take it as a learning experience. And not that it has really any relevance but the whole "if anyone cared about the animal it wouldn't be in the road in the first place" .. My old dog who had been with me since I was born got hit by a car and died because my neighbour had came over to borrow a propane tank and left the gate open just enough and my dog got out. Ben (my dog) had a full family who cared about him very much.. so therefore I totally disagree "Just my opinion."
anyways..
Thanks alot guys, you helped me cheer up a bit

heyyyyyyyy now... just because it was a dog doesnt mean anything... what if it was a person... i hit an oncomming car avoiding 2 girls who ran infront of me... thats what killed my escort... it was split second reaction to hit the brakes and swerve..and glad i did or i woulda had manslaughter charges
man that sucks, i dont know what i would do if that happened......and i dont dont swerve for animals anymore, i have almost gotten in a wreck twice because of that so, i just hope they move before i get there...
Yeah I grew up with dogs and cats all my life. They're great and I wouldn't hurt one on purpose for anything but if it comes down to hit the dog or have an accident,I will not endanger another human being for it's sake. Comparing a dog in the road to a kid in the road is ridiculous.

On a better note, the car might not be totalled.. I'm going to find out soon and as for insurance; I was insured through my father's insurance and he hasn't had any accidents or anything in over 20 years so insurance wise it's not going to go up at all.. it also helps to be insured with your uncles company. My uncle did say that my insurance would probably be a bit higher once I am insured as primary driver down the road but nothing significant. If it is totalled I will salvage everything and get a nice wad of cash for a new car and if it's not ill get a new paint job, which I've always wanted so it's nothing too bad. I am so friggen sore today and bruised up it's no fun at all. I was up until 6am last night cause I couldn't sleep. It the feeling you get the day after a big workout at the gym x10.. idk if anyone's into that here or not. Hey if my car is totalled.. what car would you guys suggest?
lol j/k..
