I agree. I make 10.00 per hour, and I'm about to get a dollarraise within the next month or two. Good thing I still live with my mom... lol I dont even think I could live off an 750$ paycheque every 2 weeks. I dont know how people do it. I'm just out of highschool and this is my first taste of real life... haha I'll eventually learn I hope.

 

it is 5.75 here in Laand it shouldn't be $10 an hour if you want more money get an education. if you can't do that work more hours in return you get more money my friend and her dad live off $300 dollars a week he works 40 hours a week so its not impossible. if you want more money get off your *** and work harder. thats just my opinion.

 

Do you know what CEOs get paid? The amount of money they get paid and thier bonuses are ridiculous. When companies pay their employees minimium wage, the only thing that happens is that the people at the top get even richer. CEOs will cut 100 jobs but they won't take a pay cut, they probably will get paid more.

 

7.80/ hour in oregon, I have been told alot by people that we have on of the highest in the U.S. During my summer jobs this past summer I made 11/hour my winter job I only get minimum.

 

Why would you ever say something to the affect that you dont want fellow hard working Americans to make more money?

 

$6.85 / Hour here in Ohio, but I get paid $ 7.25. And yes, it IS possible to live of making $7 an hour, you just live I'm a really ****ty apartment, and just about all the $$ you make goes toward rent. That's how a guy I work with lives......I'm 17 and he's 27but I make about 1.60 more than him per hour.....

 

ya you can live off it........ BUT like several people at my work... drive a POS car... no insurance and no LEGAL liscence to drive.... dont realy buy anything new... cheap apartments and sometimes dont even own a car! its posible but ya realy dont have much money to put into anything.....

im back at home living with parents during the summer and then they leave for florida about 6months outta the year which is GREAT for me! only bills i realy have is the cable/internet bill, car insurance and everything else goes towards toys and food....

but most the time when i buy the more expensive toys for my vehicles its tax refund check that lets me afford it... or when i sold my truck to pay off my computer and buy my new wheels.

its all about knowing your limits..... and most the time i myself live over that line im not THAT BAD in debt BUT i still have about 2-3K in credit card bills... i keep saying im gonna pay them off one at a time BUT im a creature of habit only way ill get them paid off and KEPT paid off is if i cancel them so i cannt charge anymore. i have very little will power.

 

and agent if you want to be paid like them then go to school and get an education like they did. and she and her dad havea license and insurance and both a vehicle on 300 a weekits all about budgeting they aren't in debt. but one of the guys that work for my dad makes 1200 a week and his is in debt passed his head. thats becaus he has 2 trucks, 6 4 wheelers, a bass boat, and a salt water boat all brand new. oh and marty its not the president that raises minimum wage its congress which the president has no control over. and you notice that when you raise the minimum wage the price of everything else goes up so it doesn't really matter yea they raise the minimum to 10/hour a damn double cheeseburger is gonna cost $3 where as right now it cost $1. no im not saying that hard working people shouldnt get paid more im saying the lazy punks that work 15 hours a week at mcdonalds that are bitching because they dont have any money. or the people who want to get on welfare because they dont have a job and want help from the government. i meanif you cant go to work you aredisabled yea youshould get help.but the lazy ****** whocan go to work who just think they should get things handed to themno they need to get off their *** and get a job thereare plenty of places to work. take my dad for instance he worked 50hrs a week making $500 for 25 years working his *** offto support his family making sure we didnt go hungry, finally saved enough money to open his own transmission shop so it can be done you just have to try and not be lazy.

 

First of all, I am in school. My point wasn't that they make alot of money, my point was that they make a **** load but they pay the people at the bottom way too much. On top of that, alot of these CEOs suck and are bringing their companies down but still get paid alot + bonuses. Someone didn't pay attention in U.S. government. The Congress passes laws but the President must approve them as well. On top of that, the President has alot of control over the deals in congress because he holds alot of power of his party.
