My first day in auto!
Today was my first day in my auto class. It was pretty fun. A lecture for about 2 hours (which was actually interesting unlike most of my other classes), then we get an 1 1/2 - 2 hour lunch, Then we do a lab. Today I changed my oil. It was cool cause on the car Im driving at the moment, it needed to be done anyway.. So on our lunch I just ran to Kragen and bought the oil and filter. There are only a couple girls in the class... But its cool. My bf is in it with me.
Maybe someday Ill have thet certified technician thing under my name here! haha

lol, that's good thinking to get the oil and filter at lunch, and get it done in a shop. what car are you currently driving? I hope you didn't rent a car for a few weeks and change their oil, was it your mom's bmw? also I know it's alil off-topic but what did you sell your SI for, price wise? are you going to become a tech, or is it at a 13th grade(community college) type-a school?

Sweet, I wish we had a decent auto shop in high school.
I work on a race car (Formula SAE) all the time, can I bet tech certified? I put in 7 hours today... machining parts for the chassis jig though. I've really been getting into it lately. And no one ever wants to do anything with the engine so I think this other kid and I are going to start tweeking that... we have a dyno and everything.

I dont wanna do automotive for a living.. honestly.. but its good to get some basic courses in. And its not at a highschool Adam.. its for college.. And yes, its a community college, in the process of transitioning to a university. And ughhh I hope I dont get flamed for this, cause its not my choice, but since I sold the Si, before I have found a new car I like, Im driving my Mustang that I got when I first got my license...
But in auto, I talked to a lot of guys there about my Civ. O and yesterday I was at Kragen too, and I told this girl whos trying to fix up her 96ex about this site. I wrote it down for her and everything, so hopefully she will come check it out..

I've been in auto for a year and half now at High School. Its been loads of fun. I actually like the lecture more than the lab stuff we do. But now we don't have as much lecture cause its a second year class. AMG you are one lucky guy, you have a car you get to work on every weekend. I gotta wait on one of my cars to break so i can fix it and i definatly don't have a race car, or know anyone that does, to work on. I wish i could weld.

A couple guys doing a seinor project even designed and built an F1 tranny that they're testing on an older car right now... Soooo badass.
Oh and I can go work on it whenever, doesn't have to be a weekend.
