ok, this morning, just another school day runnin like 5 mins late and i was in a bit of a hurry but nothing major. i unlock my car and get in put in in reverse and start to back out. anything wrong with this picture? yes, I FORGOT to let the d*** garage door up and next thing i know i hear shatters and i was like oh s***!!!! i start to get out and still have it in gear and i let the clutch out even more. UH OH!!!! every window in my garage door ( 5 ) busted out and i tore the door completely off the rails. one side of it has a huge hole in it where the cable came loose and tore it up like a corner of a piece of paper. by the way, i had wooden garage doors so its gonna be hard to replace. might have to buy a new SET of tin ones. yes, this sucks and it didnt damage my car except a little scratch on the rear bumper. nothing noticeable and im sure when i wash it and clean the scrape, you cant even tell its there. well, mama was at home when i did it and ran down stairs so fast and was upset but not really mad. i couldnt get my car out of the garage because the door wasnt on the rails and it was f'd up. i drove mama's maxima to school and when i got out of school, DEAD battery. had to get somebody to jump me off and when i got home daddy was here. he yelled at me and asked what happened and stuff... hes just mad because it WAS MY fault and the $ for a new door wasnt really on his list ( OR MINE !!! ) so, this sucks but i managed to clean up all the glass and get the door back on the rails and lift it with it nearly coming completely apart. me and my dad shut it back and now my car is sitting outside. yep, my day sucked. just thought id share that with everybody. ggrrrrr

 

damn. sorry to hear that story. at least your cars not too messed up

yea...mama...i dont call her mom or mother or anything. mama and daddy. im from the south and thats what everybody says around here. to tell you the truth though, i havent inspected my car yet. i will when i was it this weekend but i dont wanna be pissed right now if i find something wrong.

 

At least your car wasnt stolen (like mine). But damn, that really does suck. Youre in high school too right? Any idea how much a new door and all that is going to run you?

 

The only time that cars are in our garage is when there is going to be snowfall. But it does suck about your garage door. I always back my car into the garage and the driveway, it makes it easier to get out. We are the only family on the block that parks our cars like that.

That hecka sucks. You must have been pretty tired still to not realize that the garage door was still closed. Whenever I park in the garage the first thing I do is hit the wall button when Im walking out there. Even when Im not leaving right away. Haha and this was actually like one of the top 15 excuses to call into work haha. So youre not the only person whos done it. Good luckk and hopefully your Si will be alright!
