Default Negative Campaign Ads

Do negative campaign ads turn you off to the candidate being attacked or do they turn you off towards the attacker.

For me they make me consider why the attacker is resorting to such dishonorable techniques especially when the attack has absoloutely no relevance to the major issues that our country is facing today and if they are one to be trusted.

I personally hate negative campaign ads. They carry no value whatsoever and only waste our time.

having a few of them i think is okay, but when they get over the top and have really personal attacks, or when there are as many as like right now is when I start to dislike them

They also waste a lot of money. Those ads are expensive.

Hey Roto, did you hear that Obama drew a crowd of 100,000 in St. Louis today?

No, I didn't. I'm not surprised though... the guy is charismatic.

And this morning I hear that Colin Powell is now endorsing Obama. This seems significant given that Powell was part of the Bush Administration. I think a commentator followed up by stating "Stick a fork in MaCain, he's done."

At this point I'm pretty sure that Obama will take it unless in the next 16 days he does something really stupid. Can't say that I'm happy about it.

My hope is that Obama develops into a good enough president to make you change your mind. We'll have to wait and see.

We'll just have to wait and see... there's really no way to tell who will be good or bad by the campaign that they run/
