A VP is basically a DX...
you mean LX...not DX

SI is the sports coupe...EX with a b16a2

EX is the high end sedan and coupe. most comfort features, most powerful, moonroof

DX is the low end coupe (least comfort features, low power, no moonroof) and high end hatch (more comfort features and no moonroof)

LX is the low end sedan (same as DX coupe)

VP is the mid range sedan...same engine as LX (morecomfort features than LX but not as many as EX, no moonroof)

HX is the mid range coupe (same as VP but a coupe and a little more power).

CX is the low end hatch

im pretty sure thats how it works out. i might have the hatches mixed up.

Im pretty sure this is how HP goes on that year
SI-160
EX-127hp
HX-115
DX, LX, VP-107
im not sure on the hatches...because im not sure on which one is the higher end...or if they're even different horsepower anyway.

Close but... (for the 96-00)

DX is offered as coupe or sedan and has no power windows or locks.

LX is sedan only and has power windows and locks but no moonroof or vtec.

HX is the "super economy" version, comes with an ultra efficient vtec and no power anything.
