New Job Poll
O.K. here is the deal. I got a new job offer. Here are the specs on it:
The Good
$32 an hour
70 hours a week
$100 a day Per Diem (cash tax free 7days a week)
The Bad
70 hours a week
Its over 2 hours from my home. (that is 2 hours one way!)
Its pipe fitting, and that is not real fun work.
What should I do? AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!

it wouldnt be as bad if the drive wasn't as long, but i would personally never take a job like like that even if it does mean a lot more money. you always gonna be worn out, and your few days off you wont feel like doing anything. at least thats how i would be

What is your current housing situation? Do you own a house? Rent an appartment?
If you are just renting, I would probably take it and moove a bit closer. Don't come across a job that pays that much every day.
However, if you own a house or have no way of getting closer, I would dump it. 4 hours of driving each day just for work isn't worth it. Especially not if you have to work 30 hours a week more than normal. <_<

Oh its a long term job. Years at least. I am renting right now.
I was thinking that same thing about justs being worn out all the time. Money is great and all, but if you have no life, then what good is it. I had thought that if I could make it through a year of it I would make somewhere around $130,000 a year though. That is a TON of money. LOL
I just need to give them an answer by Monday morning. AAARRRGGGHHH!!!! ROFL

sigracer and kelleykid are right. they both posted some good thoughts on the subject. that's a long *** commute as i think i've said twice.[8D] just think of some of the days at work in the past where you just wanted to get home and be done with all that ****. then think about having to wait 2 hours to get home. that is harsh. i've never worked a 70 hour week, but i've had two jobs at once a couple times, and worked more than 40 hours a week. it SUCKS! not to mention, my commute was less than half an hour. the pay is there..but damn that drive, and gas to make it there and back.
edit..but i have to say, if you can move soon, or whenever your lease is up, you might want to take the job. then just move up there when the time comes. will suck for a bit, then it will start to pay off big time. if you can move closer, i vote yes.
