i just got a new monitor and i was wondering if its bad to keep it at 100 brightness - it's what factory default was.

i don't know what my computer's default is i just keep mine at 50 %

100% brightness will be fine...if your eyes are that bad i suggest a doctor

means there's a potential for the screen to die sooner, but chances are you'll replace it by the time it dies anyway (and CRTs can go at full brightness for years, LCDs too)

I run my laptop at full brightness, as well as my 19" LCD, and I've had the LCD for about a year now (wow, just realized that)
