right...what was i wrong on there?

my point is that the current skyline is nothing like any skyline in the last what, 15 years?
Do you mean it looks nothing like any Skyline? Or performs nothing like past Skylines?

Well, for starters, they aren't staying faithful to the RB26DETT, which is still the greatest powerplant ever created. And yes, while certain visual cues are the same, the look has been altered beyond the classic realm of instant GTR recognition.

Yeah but every year a car changes people get upset that it doesnt look the same as the old ones but then they tend to grow on people, like the RSX

well, based on the performance numbers of the G35, it doesnt have similar looks or performance numbers comparable to the R34s

DOnt get me wrong, it is a Skyline but not a GTR

There are lots of 2wd nonturbo Skylines in Japan. The GTR is just the upper performance model

Kinda like the Lancer, you have the ES, OZ Rally, Ralliart and then the EVOLUTION. And a whole bunch of Evo models after that. But the ES and the EVO are so so so so so so much different but still the same model.

correct me if im wrong, but in japan, i thought that there was no "lancer"...that was the pilot model to see how the look of the car woudl appeal to the US market...and over there they only have the evolution, right? or at least with prior generations of the car?
