No more subs in STL
ORIGINAL: civicboy01
watch some huge riot break out over this stupid bill, if I were there, just becuase of this law, I would douple whatever I was putting into my car, I could care less if I got locked up or fined, I'd get a lawyer and it'd be hell from there. They can't just pull you over and check your car without a warrant or suspion(sp) I see alot of things that will inter-fear with this law.

Sorry, I got one right, and one wrong lol, also sorry for the over-kill on the font
I think they can look in your car if they supect u have illegal things in the car such as to many subs. so if they supect and find u have to many then they don't need a warrant because u would have illegal stuff in the car. here in granite as long as u don't.....well im just going to say it "BUMP" them to hard after 9:00 u are good. but after that ur a$$ is grass.
Look at it this way, you can have a single 10 or 2 8's, You would be in total shock if you knew how loud I have made single 10 and dual 8 setups. With 2 8W7's I can pull in the low 140's on a meter and to put that into perspective most of your average systems running around from best buy and circut city will do good to get mid 130's

It's 300 watts, and 2 amps, so the w7 idea is out the window. This bill is shiat, and if it passes I think people from every city that care, should march. It will only be a matter of time before other major cities start following suit. I'd like to see how they are going to justify it, besides the whole "annoying people" side of it. My grandfather hates guys that wear earings and it annoys the **** out of him at every family outing, but you can't outlaw it if it doesn't HURT him in any way. Saying a subwoofer system can "make people fall out of bed" reminds me of stuff you read in the tabloids. Anyone ever seen Demolition Man with snipes/stalone?, this is just another step towards a society like that. Personally when I hear base when I'm at home, I just nod my head to the beat until it goes away, wishing I had those subs in my room. How can you make a law against preference? Someone prefers not to hear loud music so NO ONE can play it? BS

any amplifier over 300 watts.
i'm running 770w RMS, but i don't roll around my neighborhood or any residential place bumping three 6 mafia as loud as i can to try and shake windows (though it can
). i save my soundsystem for listening to trance on the freeway where it doesn't bother anyone.
It will not last, they have no right to say what you buy for your car if it does not hurt the environment

Overall I think this is a lame bill being pushed. In San Diego, it was the music shouldn't be able to be clearly heard at 25 feet away and I think that keeps everyone happy. You can thump on the freeway, but still feel it on the city streets.
