what do you guys think of the new camero that is supposed to come out. I think it looks pretty sweet in style and they say somewhere around 400hp. my co-woker wants to get one. not me. muscle is not really my cup of tea.

I'm a Chevy guy so I am bias on the matter but from what I have seen by 2010-2011 your looking at a low 12 second car with 430 hp from the SS and/or the Z28. Should be great and if they offer a 300hp base V8(5.3 from the trucks) for around $25,000 it is going to be a knock out seller.

 

Yeah it will be great if they offer a lower base version to stimulate sales. Styling is great.

Dont like the looks, looks like a chick car. Id get the new charger or challenger, always get those two mixed up forget which one is comin out. Slap a SC in that puppy and go vroom! Waste gas all day long . Dad is most likely getting the camaro though because it reminds him of his old Z28 back in the day.

 

I admit I have not followed the new camaro much, because Not a fan on the front end, but from what I understand they all will be 40k+

 

Not all of them, Bob Lutz has said point blank that a V8 manual will be offered at the same price as the Mustang GT which is around $25k. Lutz dont play any games either. He has also been quoted saying the only reason that the Corvette that is "muchfaster than the Z06" has not been released is because they are having problems getting transmissions to hold the power and also having problems getting the proper suspension under it to make it handle the power. Must be alot of power because the T56's in them now are stout(used in everithing from Vipers to M3's)

 

Don't like the looks of the Camaro (or the new Challanger). I do like the Mustang GT and the Z06 is one of the best sport cars every built.
