Posting on this thread make me feel stupid about myself, it's like comparing xbox to ps2(ps3 to 360) it just leads to nowhere. Each system has its pro and cons so choose whatever works best for you and stop bashing the other. That's it and im out.

it's the same nasa that puts satellite in orbit and men into space. you don't they'd trust that with peecees do you?

btw, I was watching a special on national security and guess how many peecees i saw the room full of security consultants using? ZERO.

they were all using powerbooks.

they said if you wanted to get hacked or viruses, then get a peecee. lol.

the u.s. army used to use peecees for their webservers. but a 15-year-old hacked into it.

they switched to macs pretty quickly after that... LOL.
National Security... BAHAHAHA! Not only have you bought into the Apple "look how spiffy and original we are" marketing scheme, but now you think this whole "terrorists are everywhere" crap is actually valid. No wonder you use a Mac.

But unfortunately, the fact remains that none of this has anything to do with performance.

Learn to use Windows and you'll be golden.

XP wont install or download anything if u dont tell it to. Macs dont get hacked? it only takes 20 minutes to hack into any mac if u want to, it just nobody wants to.
ps3 owns? yet another victim of hype.

all i can say is that i have a pc and it is fine for posting and downloading music. i would luv to have a mac, because they are gorgeous machines (take a look inside a g5 to see what i mean) no wires everywhere, just a clean and simple machine inside and out. but a pc is way cheaper and has more software compatablity.

SO the fianal answer to which is better is NEITHER, they are both good and have there pros and cons

InformationWeek: Apple Mac run Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux; Dell and HP should be concerned

Monday, May 01, 2006 - 11:37 AM EDT

"Apple Computer's switch to Intel CPUs for its new desktops and laptops brought up a fascinating question: Can the Intel-based Macs run Windows operating systems and software natively? Indeed they can, thanks to the beta release of Boot Camp, a free dual-boot enabler designed to let users install Windows XP on Intel-based Macs. Apple says dual-boot capability will be built into Leopard, the next major release of its OS X operating system," Richard Hoffman reports for InformationWeek. "I ran Boot Camp on a new iMac with a 2-GHz Intel Core Duo processor and installed Windows XP Pro almost without a hitch--so smoothly you'd hardly know Boot Camp was beta software. Just be sure not to choose anything other than the C: partition to install Windows to, as you could instantly wipe out your OS X partition accidentally. I then ran a full range of Windows software, including Office, Visio, Outlook, Photoshop, and graphics-intensive games."

"Boot Camp's execution is good, and the concept is a stroke of brilliance on Apple's part. Apple doesn't sell or support Windows on Macs and says it has no intention to preinstall Windows on its products. Regardless, Apple now has a fast, capable, stylish line of computers that runs a wide range of operating systems natively: OS X, Windows XP, and Linux. That's something to get excited about, or if you're Dell or Hewlett-Packard, a bit concerned," Hoffman reports.

If windows sucks so bad then why is apple enabling the use of it on their holy machines?

Put IBM compatible hardware and a windows software on a Mac and what do you have? A pretty windows machine that is outragously priced and impossible to upgrade due to proprietary software. The single thing that makes OSX good is FreeBSD that it runs on, which I can get for free a dual boot on my PC all that other crap is just another GUI for people with madonna complexes that have to be differant.
