Default The Pics I promised

These are the pics I promised. The Cold Air was a pain to install and the uninstall of the factory wasn't much easier. It was worth it though. I have a lot better throttle response and I don't know bout mpg yet. I'm not expecting anything really the way I drive. I have a lil hp gains but I don't know it is the 15 someone was asking me about not long ago. That seems a lil high for just CAI anyway.

It is a dry filter. Not sure if it is any better or not this is the first one I ever owned. It is hard to see because it is under just about everything else under the hood, that is why couple of them is with the battery still out. The filter sits in front of the fog light, it is the 4th pic but hard to see. It is under the beam. I didn't get any busted knuckles on this one but it was a tight fit getting the old one out and putting this one in. It opened up a lil room in the engine compartment wich is about the only thing you can really tell with the battery in. My camera isn't really that good but it is all I have to take pics with. Got it in Iraq and the quality isn't up to american standards.

My brother bought one for his 06 civic si, wants me to install. How long did it take you to do it. By the instructions it looked like it would take a couple of hours. Yours looks good.

It makes it sound even better. It gives it more aggressive sound.

It was a lil difficult to do more aggravating. Took me and my bro. bout 2 hours to install it. You have to take the battery and battery stand out. Then you need to pull the inner tire fender back far enough to get the filter out from in front of your tire. It is a box there that you will have to pull out in front of your tire. I got one bolt off the filter and just pulled it off the other bolt which slid out with a lil preasure, couldn't reach that one. Then set the elbow in right position. Then fit the pipe in place and put the filter on and bolt it down. The pics that came with mine didn't help me out any. The ones I have you can get an idea what it will look like when it is installed. good luck.

It took 2 hours with the help of my bro. so if I was by myself it would have taken longer. You have to uninstall part of the factory air intake from the bottom. I will post a pic of the box on the intake that had to be removed from the bottom later, there is no way to take it out from top. You have to install the filter from the wheelwell. It will not be fun cleaning the filter because I will have to pull the inner tire well to get to it. The filter sit directly behind the spot made for the fog light. The battery and mount also has to be removed to get the pipe to the car and to get the factory out. Some of the bolts were pretty tought ot get to. One on the bottom I could not reach so I pulled on it and it came right off. The CAI bolted in its spot but was much easier to reach then. I wish I would have taken more pics that I could post but I will try to get more that might help soon.
