What the hell does Famous represent? I don't like it because it's just a scheme for people to buy it and people to get rich off selling it, and it doesn't even represent anything. I think it's sad that people are falling for the scheme of paying for a "name brand" that doesn't even serve a purpose as a brand.
ok I'll give you that

Its kind of hard to ask what does Famous represent. What does any clothing line represent? There's no real point, IMO.

The famous logo, F, is just that--a logo. Nothing bad about it, its actually pretty cool looking. There are dar more worse logos, the Nike swoosh=gay. Reebok's logo=gay.
I wear nothing but FSAS and DC every day.I'm wearing my limited edition double label DC and Famous shoes right now. That doesn't make me a douche. That's just what I like.

There are a lot of people that wear Famous to "fit in" but there are people that wear American Eagle to "fit in". There's periods like this with all sorts of clothing styles.

But my opinion to whoever said he feels sorry that people are falling for paying for a name brand, well..that's life. You have to pay for nice things. These clothing companies don't give a f*ck about any of us. They know if they make something we like, that we'll pay the price they want. People are getting rich off of anything we buy, so don't just pick one company out of the bunch.

And for the record, the Famous shirts aren't all the same. I've got 8 famous shirts that don't even have the F on them at all, 15 that aren't just a big F, and only 2 shirts that just have the F.
FSAS just started doing better late 07 and early 08, but I've been buying/wearing it for a long time.

I definitely feel almost the same way about american eagle as famous.

So you're saying that because the shirt has a logo it makes it nicer than a shirt without a big gaudy logo on it?

Some name brand things though are better quality and that is directly caused by it being a name brand, because the brands have more money... but most T-shirts are pretty much all the same quality.

An example of something better quality would be DC skate shoes as compared to Payless knockoff skate shoes... the DC ones will probably last longer, and have better board feel and the like, because of the money that was put into research/development/design. But this really doesn't apply to a shirt, a shirt has no issue of "performance"

I'm only picking one out of the bunch because it's the most current one and it's related to this thread, which is how this train of thought started... Trust me, I could ramble on about american eagle and hollister and etc. being way overpriced and pointless, but what would have been the provocation of thought that would have led to a comment about american eagle? it's not like we're talking about the founder of american eagle getting in a plane crash.

My point of saying don't just pick out one company, FSAS, about being overpriced and stuff, because everything we buy is overpriced. Companies buy the materials in bulk for hella CHEAP, make their stuff and make a large profit.

The example you stated about DC shoes being better quality than knock offs, well I sort of agree with you there. I've been broke and needed skateshoes, so ran to Wal Mart to get some of their sh*tty shoes to skate in, and they held up better than my DC Courts. I think when it comes to shoes, it comes down to how hard the person is on them.

But anyways, trustdestruction, you have some strong standpoints, and I respect that. Let's just face it, we all have our own opinions and that's fine. Its good to be different.

Thanks for the conversation though. Next time, let's just talk about something we agree on. Lol
