I think all a radar does is let you know you're getting a ticket before the cop does....every time I got a speeding ticket it was with a radar detector. I haven't used one in almost ten years so maybe things have changed but even back then with the lazer gun there was no warning at all...one minute I'm speeding along and then the all of a sudden detector is going nuts! 2 minutes later ticket in hand....I had a Passport, and a Cobra or something like that...my advice, be more alert, know when and where not to speed. Been clean for over 5 years now.

i have 3 speeding tickets now,(in 2 months) i have a tendency to SPEED alot...i am looking in to getting me a 60 $$ radar, and a 100$$ police scanner, so i know when and where not to race or even speed
