I didn't know XBOX 360 wasn't backward compatable, which is totally bogus.
There is a simple update that was released months ago. Every and all xbox games are playable on the 360. And the update was free, get your facts straight.

so they are playing catch up now that everyone has 360 games...they only did it to keep up with sony in that respect.

^That is my point. To tell the truth I dont give a rats *** about any of the techno babble anyone wants to spit off their tounge.
I know what system I like better, I know which controller I like better, I know what game selection I like better. You get down to it I may play my PS2 like 2 hours a week. I work, I have a life, I am not a kid, so I dont care.
huh? U buy a car without knowing anything about it? If ur gonna buy a new system u don;t wanna know what ur buyin? u just know Sony makes it and it is competing with microsoft?

I think u really like the PS line and have heard enough about the 360, and when Ben said what he said u got butt hurt...<---what I'm sayin is if u were "grown up", Ben wouldn't have been able to push ur buttons about this subject that u dont have much interest in

There is no telling what is gonna happen when PS3 hits the shelves, It could blow 360 out of the water, Or it could be turned on and just blow up. As I've stated in the past it is all about Developers, as much as u dont care, thats what its about

No hard feeling, just being real about it
No him talking **** on the playstation platform is not what got to me, it was him coming out here stating **** like it was fact, like he had tested the PS3 against a 360 knowing damn good and well that nobody can say anything about a platform that is not on the market. I am not against the 360, it is cool and everything, I will not buy a PS3 because I have better things to spend money on.

Ben, not all xbox games are playable on the 360. It sucks to not be able to transfer ur saves but you wont get to do that out of the box with the PS3 either, you'll need to buy a adapter. The PS3 will be able to play all PS1 and PS2 games since it has a PS2 in it.
Anyway, I dont care much about back compat because the only xbox games I still play are Halo2 and forza. Even so every time I go back and play them I just realize how much better the new games look.

Idk what your talking about when it comes to transferring saves, but im pretty sure all xbox titles are playable on the 360. And as for marty, statistically the 360 is a better buy when it comes down to it. Thats what I was comparing it to. And in that sense, im able to talk **** about what is factual evidence. I am talking about facts, like you said I was "trying" to do. Whether you think the PS3 is a better system or not. You cannot lie with facts. The PS3 has more processors, but in essence they aren't as powerful, and the 360 has more potential. Also, 360 has set the way for a lot of things the PS3 doesn't even have yet, and wont be getting. I'm not talking about biast opinion, im talking about fact right now.

Phoenix go to xbox.com and see if you can find that link, if you don't have live theres a thing you can burn to a cd that enables the 360 to play all xbox games. And to Patrick, a system does not need to play catch up when it is miles ahead of the competition.

so when they had to make an update so that it would play xbox games, while the ps3 already is set up to play older games, it was miles ahead then? funny..i would think that if something was ahead...it wouldnt need updates to do something that the PS3 is already set up to do...

and the fact that some of the xbox games, such as forza and PGR2, cannot be saved on the system's memory cards, although the sony memory cards support ALL games played on the PS2, care to explain exactly how it is that microsoft is miles ahead?

miles ahead? more like a year ahead...and at the cost of endless bugs...ive never heard a story about the PS1 or PS2 scratching discs...or just randomly shutting down due to overheating. but the 360 had reports of damaging games and both of the xbox systems have experienced issues with heat problems.

there is some other item that the xbox people are upgrading to be equivalent to the PS3...i just cant recall at the moment.

what i do find funny, is that at every site we have at least one micorsoft fanboy, who defends the xbox name to the death...although i dont see that from the sony people...its kind of like someone with a V8 who is slower than imports, always trying top defend the fact that his car really isnt so bad...

For one: Research please before you speak. A 360 ONLY scratches disks when moved from flat to vertical or vertical to flat while the system is on. Just like the PS2, and the PS3 will be. Two: There are many others on this site who like microsoft And Three: The PS2 had launch problems as well, which is inevitable. If you refuse to admit that then I have better things to do than look up that information. The 360 had problems that are now fixed, just like the PS3 will have. Its hard to have a system with that much power to have adequate cooling as well. The system is fine if it is in an open space with adequate venting, morons who put it in an enclosed space with all four walls closed and no air going to it, that bitch when it overheats are rediculous. The bugs are worked out, not to mention if your system has these problems they will send you a new unit for free. You talk of microsoft in a way putting out a bugged system...I will laugh in your face when the PS3 comes out and you see the problems that entail with that system as well...

I'd be willing to put the ep down, that there will be launch problems on the wii and ps3. Every console since the PS2 has had them, I am just following trend and stating the inevitable.
