Things I didn't say:
1- All music on the radio sucks
2- Just because it's underground, it's good!
I simply said you need to take alternate routes for finding good music. As for the "having to listen to my computer" comment, get real. Have you never heard of burning cd's? Or, you could do what I do. Use places like Pandora and other online music sites to find things that you like, then go out and purchase the bands' albums. It's pretty easy.
My only major beef with the radio is this (and yes, i know not all stations do this). There are some songs/bands that I have been listening to for a long time, that just recently started getting play on the radio. Two bands that come to mind are Five Finger Death Punch and Killswitch Engage. Both had songs recently added to regular rotation on the radio. However, they are certainly not the same songs i've loved for years. Instead, they are made into toned down, regular run of the mill radio tunes, and thats sad. I fully understand having to remove swear words and things like that, but thats not what is goin on here. Screaming is replaced with regular singing, super heavy riffs are toned down, etc. That is NOT right. Either play the ****ing song, or DONT.
Moral of the story is this. Typical radio can take even a great song, and make it awful.

Well, maybe suggest some bands that you like? I think the Holy Diver cover that KSE did is badass. It gets no radio play here at all though.
Let me add cartoons to my list that pisses me off. When I was a kid, we had bugs bunny and such, batman, superman, etc...characters that tried teaching that bad/eveil never wins and to help others. Now we have spongebob...and dora..because kids nowadays need to know how to cook crabby patties and say backpack in spanish. Even the old Nick cartoons like Doug showed you how to deal with life problems.

Whatgenres of music are you into? Maybe I can suggest some decent ones. Most of what I listen to is metal/thrash/metalcore type stuff, but I've got some decent rock bands in the playlist as well.

Whiners....when I had a guy at work that did nothing and went as far as insulting me...I beat the **** out of him. Than I walked to the boss, said I quit, and two weeks later came back and made the guy run back and forth when I couldn't decide which pack of cigs to buy (I don't smoke, it's just easiest to say "Oh, wait, I don't like newports, let's go for some Quests). Now I've got pretty much nothing to whine about

"Dear God" is a killer song, actually when I listened to it the first time, it made me cry because that was the time my ex broke up with me, and I felt miserable, now when I listen to it.. It, in a sense gives me strenght when I think about it.. Its a great song.I'm going to the Taste of Chaos event, in Chicago Tuesday. Featuring Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu, and Bullet For My Valentine. My top 3 favorite bands

I mainly listen to rock, heavy metal, some scremo.
