yo... everybody in the ny/nj area should all get together and detail their cars... i want to clean my engine bay but i still find the DIYs confusing. if there is a bunch of us it would be cool.

well... maybe its just me being lazy about it but if i know every1 is doing it i'll do it. good thing i read to cover the alt. i woulda never thought of that...lol

Whatever you do, don't spray inside your airbox or pipe to the air filter.

what negoti8or said. It's also a good idea to cover up the distributor, wires and alternator - you don't want to cause any shorts (use cerane wrap to cover things (sp?)). I also heard that engine detailing should be done with warm engine, but I don't really see the reason for this. You can also polish the metal parts to make them shine, Another important thing to remember is to not hose everything with full force (use water sparingly)
