Question RHD gear shifter

Just curious, and I looked for the answer but couldn't find it...
On a RHD car, are the gear positions for the shifter backwards? (i.e. is 1st gear on a RHD car where 5th gear is on a LHD car?)

I believe it's the same shift pattern:

1 3 5
|-|-|
2 4 R

But I'm not 100% sure. If megafandrew sees this, his 180sx was rhd (obviously)

Yeah, like I said, I'm not completely sure. I pm'd drew, so maybe he can shed some light on the situation.

And don't worry, I've always kind of wondered this too lol

i just realized, that makes complete sense because otherwise people in the US wouldn't ever put a JDM transmission on their LHD cars
