RIP Oscar the Fish
Thanks everyone for the comments. As sad as it was we celebrated his life with a lot of crazy stories, and had a lot of fun after we let him go. He could never be replaced, however we are going to the pet store this weekend and getting a new one after I clean the hell out of the tank.
RIP Oscar. that sucks about your fish man. do you plan on getting another one? also that is awesome how you made a little boat out of a bud light box and let him float to his freedom. my girlfriend and i just got a dog in feb and we are already attached to it. it would be horrible if he passed away.
oh man, sorry to hear about your pet!! well hope all goes well with the next one, and the vodka should have cleaned up alot of the bacteria in that tank.
also i like how you did the viking ritual. much better than the toilet or 6 ft. under.
i dunno what i would do if any of my pets died, attached to them like hell and most were expensive too.

That was the best part of this fish, I got everything, including him, for free. A buddy of mine who goes through money like crazy just buying things to buy it bought a brand new 15 gal. tall tank with stand and bought the oscar and had him for about a month, got bored and decided he wanted a rat. Him and a bunch of my other friends decided they were going to kill it but I protested and said I would take it. At first I had to buy a small starter tank because my buddy wanted to keep his, but after a month and realizing he didn't have anywhere to put it he gave me the stand and tank. Since then I borrowed a 30 gal. tank from my mother and had that going for a couple of months now. Other than food, filters, and a few plants, up until last week, I hadn't spent any money on him. Then blam!! $50 in meds and new filters... and it didn't help.
But, yeah, he was one crazy fish, almost took people's fingers off if they put them in his tank. He took a couple of layers of skin off my finger once.. We fed him live crickets a couple of times. The first time we fed him crickets they were gone before I could count them all and make sure all 5 got in the tank.

thats the bad thing about pets, they're great to have, but it really sucks when they go!
