Well, early Friday morning I jumped a plane from the east coast to LA (first time on the west coast).. Go there and started into downtown LA for a convention. On my trip there on the freeway I couldn't help but look around and laugh.. almost everyone there was riding on 18" + wheels.. it didn't matter how crappy their car was, it had chrome 18"+ rims.. The best ones were the Bronco's with the busted out side panels and peeling tints.. However nothing would beat what I saw about 1 mile from my hotel.. A Toyota van running on 15" chrome rims.. I wanted to grab my camera and snap a shot of them, but I was affraid they were going to shoot back.. and not by a camera!

thought this was pretty funny, and worth sharing..

Crome is nice and all it has a a rep of being a drug car though with the shiny rims.

 

Yeah.. it wasn't a soccer mom driving either.. It was a beat up 1980's Toyota van.. there was a cross hanging from the mirror and a Virgin Mary on the dash with a big latino dude driving.. I should have popped of a pic ....

 

Personally i HATE chrome rims, now polished silver on the other hand[8D]

 

There's a guy in my neighborhood who has one of those early 90s Civic Wagons (the 5-door hatch) with a full tint and what must be at least 19 inch chrome wheels. It's intense, man.
