Im plannin on putting a s2k motor into an older miata..thoughts on how hard this is gonna be??

expensive man, expensive. itll be plenty of custom fab, and a lot of headaches. should be cool when you are done though. wiring is gonna be a B***CH.

how good are you at metal fab? and whats a breakdown on that 7k?

super street did the swap and purchesed the car all together for around 7k. the cutting of the subframe is what the problem will be..i have nothing here to use..so im gonna need people to help since im in an apartmet at the moment.

MAybe if you are extremly good at wiring and fabrication, and I do mean extreamly good.

Id guess youd have to redo 100% of the interior, no more climate control or stock gauges. Might as well do a sheet metal dash with some aftermarket gauges.

s2000 gage set fits perfect with a little opeing of the back end

that's an interesting idea. There's also a kit out there that allows you to swap in a chevy small block engine. Some guy on my street did this and it sounds mean.

PS. if you decide to go ahead with this and you're in cleveland, I'd be happy to come over and help out

lol if it does happen..it will deff be in cleveland

im still trying to an actual s2k and am pretty sure i can pull it off.. but im still just making back up plans..


its like...

1) s2k.. if to much money then..

2) miata s2k...if not possbile cuz of things like sub frame work and custom headers then..

3) Civic with b18c or maybe still sticking with the miata idea and doin somethin like that..im not sure..
